‘Rebel City’ – A Feature Film

Jonjo Fagan fled Cork 10 years ago and is now living a new life in London with his wife Erin and young son Dylan.

With his son in desperate need of a transplant and time running out fast, Jonjo must return home to Ireland to find his criminal brother, Seamus. A suitable match for Dylan. Set over the course of one night, we are introduced to Cork’s vibrant underbelly as Jonjo navigates his way through a series of life and death scenarios.

Evading Romanian travelers, one legged pimp’s and ‘cake baking’ gangsters, Jonjo will stop at nothing in a determined bid to bring Seamus back to London. Even if it means becoming the man he left behind…

The Director:

Chris Ryden is a writer and director for film and TV. He is represented by Nish Panchal & Sam Greenwood at Curtis Brown. Chris originally trained as an actor, graduating from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts.

Turning his hand to script doctoring for Fahrenheit Films, they co-produced his debut short, ‘Counterpoint’. It was picked up for worldwide distribution by Underground Films/Icewhole and went on to win a ‘Best Action’ nod from Total Film Magazine.

His Manchester based TV series MAGPIE is set up at Clerkenwell Films, and his last feature script – SAFEGUARD – was a semi-finalist at the Academy Nicholl Fellowship.

He has good relationships in LA with many of the prominent production companies, who he enjoys an open door policy with.
