Interview:

To begin with, tell us about your latest film ‘Dead Ringer’…

The moment I picked the script up I couldn’t put it down and I knew I had to make this movie. Now that it’s finished it’s a million times better than I ever imagined and definitely my best work to date.

It’s an action-packed thriller with lots of household names and I can’t wait to share it with you guys on September 17th.

Where did the idea come from?

Pretty simple really it was the writer Richard Colton who came to me with the script and within two months we started shooting.

Tell us about the cast, who is starring in ‘Dead Ringer’?

As mentioned dead ringer has a host of household names attached …

A modern day Prince and the Pauper. Lead singer of tribute act ‘Dive’ lands the opportunity to replace pop icon Donny Martin of the boy group ‘D5’, but things soon turn nasty as he struggles to keep up with the web of deceit. This exciting gangster thriller feasts a host of movie, television and music stars including: Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), Bai Ling (The Crow), pop icon Sinitta, Lee Latchford-Evans (Steps), Danielle Harold (Eastenders), Hairstylist Lee Stafford and model wife Jessica-Jane Stafford, Stefan Boeham (Lucky Man), rapper Tom Zanetti, singer Shide Boss, Ricky Rayment (The Only Way is Essex), X-Factor’s Jordi Whitworth, former Big Brother contestants Laura Carter & Chelsea Singh and Chantelle Connelly from Geordie Shore.

All I can say is I am so excited and everyone attached has done me so proud!

We have also interviewed the director, Richard Colton – is this your first film together? Where did you meet?

No it’s not… In fact, it’s our second one which we have made together and we have in fact one more coming out next year too called The Seven. We made Dangerous Game a football crime thriller which I had made with Calum Best which got released last year in June starring Calum Best, Darren Day, Lucy Pinder, Chris Kamara, Alex Reid, Jessica Jane Stafford and many more names too. Richard and I met on another one of my movies called Retribution which Richard had edited before he turned to directingmovies.  We are a great team and expect many more movies to come in the coming years.

What are your influences as a filmmaker?

To be honest I’ve always loved anything to do with Will Smith and everything he has been in. From comedy to action to drama. And as I started as an actor before producing I learnt a lot from watching how he does certain things and how his movies were shot and made. Many years later I decided to grab the bull by the horns and make my own movies and use those influences how I wanted. Since then I have made 7 movies and now want to make my own mark as a producer. Just to make good movies with light-hearted entertainment. I love what I do and wouldn’t change this for the world.

When and where can we expect to see ‘Dead Ringer’?

It feels so good to say this, finally, after the year of graft we have put into this movie. Dead ringer is being released nationwide on September 17th after its premiere in Leicester Square. It will be out in cinemas, good DVD retailers and all digital platforms.

What is the next step for you? Do you have any other films or projects in production?

The wheels never stop moving for me … I have just completed filming my next movie called the seven which I have CO produced with Superman himself Dean Cain. It’s a coming Of the age horror and will be released next year 2019.  I have Never done a horror before so very excited for this one.  After the Seven I guess it’s into the next project which is all kept under wraps for now but be sure that I will keep making films and my passion and drive will make sure I will get better and better.
